02 cup holder lid

I was checking my tire pressure one day, and it was a little low- so i got my pump, plugged it into the aux. power outlet in the dash, and when I was done, I pulled the plug out and that whole piece of the dash came out. Not just the outlet, but the whole lower panel. I pushed it back in, and it seems like it's set in right now, but I think it messed up the lid on my cupholders. It doesn't shut right now, and it makes noise when I open/close it (kind of like the plastic gears inside the center console are grinding). Is this sort of thing covered by honda? Anyone heard of whole panels coming loose like that? Strange.

push it in more, and maybe you lost some of the little clips that hold the piece in.

I don't know about the outlet panel, but my cup holder is making the same sound and is sticking. I'm going to see if I spilled something sticky in the panel but I don't know what it could be because I just drink water. I'll look at the panel when I check out the cup holder lid.

dragoon - I pushed it in as far as it will go. You are probably right that I lost some of the clips though.

solar- yours is doing it too? I was trying to think what could cause this problem, a couple of things came to mind. Maybe there isn't enough grease on the gears to allow the lid to open/close smoothly? Either that, or maybe something gets knocked off track somehow? If you find out the problem, please let me know! Thanks!
