Car wont start
I have a 2002 civic ex, i bought brand new and ive notice a problem. Sometimes i go to start my car and the engine just doenst start. It will after i try the second or third time though. The engine just seems like an old car stuggling to start. I only have about 2500 miles on it and i cant seem to figure out what it could possibly be. It doesnt happen every often at all. Anyone got any ideas?
My new '02 EX has little over 3000 miles and it often does the same thing to me. It doesn't do it all the time, but when it does the engine won't turn over at first. I have to turn the key several times and then the engine finally comes to life.
I don't think it has anything to do with the fuel pump not being pressurized or the key not sending the correct code to the ignition. Like Pinoy3LeR stated above, your engine may have a factory defect. This obviously isn't normal for a new car. Take it to the dealer and have it looked at under warranty.
I'm taking my car to the dealer in less than 1 week for this and two other problems, so I'll let you know what they tell me.

My '02 EX has this problem also. I just take the key out, curse at it, then stick the key back in and it starts.
Free7- when you get back from the dealer let us know what they found and if its fixed! Thanks.
