shaking
why does my car shake at 55-60? the whole car vibrates like its on a bumpy road and i was wonderinf why, o its only at 55-60 anything over or less than that fine
Every front-drive car I've ever owned has done that. I think it's pretty much normal. If you don't like it then either follow what everybody else said, or buy a 350Z, which is rear wheel drive, then you won't have that problem anymore
.
. It's most likely a wheel balancing problem. Alignment problem would not necessarily lead to shaking, but balancing problems almost always do. Does your steering wheel shake badly too?
Then you're pretty much saying every front wheel drive car you've owned has had a wheel balancing problem. None of my previous 3 front-wheel drive cars have ever done this.

Wheel balancing and aligment must be done.
Have you locked ur wheels lately? My friend locked his wheels several times so he has totally uneven tire wear which caused shaking.
its definately a wheel balance problem. alignment problems rarely have anything to do with the steering wheel shaking. alignment problems are associated with uncommanded steering or drifting within the lane.

Just like Ronin and Loxley had said," Alignment will not cause a vibration problem." All that will happen is if your alignment is out is the car will drift or pull to one side and/or cause tire wear. Sounds like you have a wheel balance problem which can be caused by a wheel weight falling off or hitting a major pot hole or the like. Or its possible, (but unlikely) that a axle shaft is out of balance or maybe a CV joint is going bad or possibly a wheel bearing is going out.
But alignment will not cause a vibration.
But alignment will not cause a vibration.
