Transmission Waranty Question

The throw out bearing in my 02 Civic EX seems to be going bad. This morning after I dropped it off I got a call from the dealer telling me that they are going to look at it, but if the determine that its normal wear and tear it would not be covered under warranty. Has anyone had an experiences with a throw out bearing being under warranty? I wouldn't understand why it wouldn't be covered. I can't exactly think of a way to be hard on a release bearing. It seems obvious that its a defect.

If the car is under warrenty the dealer needs to replace it under warrenty. I don't see how the dealer can determine if the Bearing went bad because of abuse. If the clutch isn't slipping and no mods have been done to the tranny then its covered. Don't let the dealer tell you different, because it sounds like they might try to weazel out of the repair.
