Hey kevmon. If your going to swap in a new mill, definitely a K20A2. If you go with a K20A, it's got a really f**ked up version of i-VTEC. What I mean is that it will switch to the "more aggresive cam" (LOL) at 2300 rpm, which is like the EX D-series we have in our 7gen's already. All it does is increase the intake timing and flow, the exhaust valve isn't touched. So the flow suffers some, but fuel economy is still okay. The K20A2 from the RSX type S motor has a real i-VTEC wheret the cam changeover is around 5000rpm and both intake and exhaust are changed for real power. But yes, you apparantly can swap out the motor, just go with what you want more, fuel economy or vroooooooooooom!

NO NO NO the K20A3 (Si, RSX) has the fawked up i-VTEC. The K20A is the Integra Type R motor that is fully equipped with the kick *** version of i-VTEC. The one we have all come to love. Oh... BTW: VTEC kicks on at around 4800, not 2300 on the 7th gen EX's. The HX kicks on at 2300 where the 2nd intake valve opens, then shifts over to the high cam around the same place that the EX shifts over.

I believe it is this months issue of import tuner magazine that has step by step instructions with pictures regarding this swap. The drive side is now the drivers side.
They spent $10,000 for the complete engine swap
