I hate honda part 2....
I don't know who read my post before about hating honda but this is the follow up to the latest trip into the shop. I dropped my car off on friday morning, recieved my rental and off to class I went. about 5 pm I got a call from the guy that was handling my car he told me that they were finishing up installing the strut, that he ordered a new slave cylinder to take care of the clutch squeak. He also told me that he found where the smell was coming from. Apparently my sunroof was leaking and the large metal tray that is there to catch any water that gets in is broken, which was causing my headliner to get soaked, grow mold and smell like A$$. They aren't sure how bad it is and if they can just reseal it or if they need to order me a new tray. They aren't even gonna touch it and its going to get sent to a sunroof place that they contract out to. Hes hoping to do it all when the slave cylinder arrives but its still going to take a few days to fix. As of right now it doesn't sound like the rear is squeaking I hope that replacing that strut took care of my problem, for anyone else that has the clutch squeak problem I'll let you know if the next visit solves it. so kids keep an eye out for installment number 3 in my ongoing battle with honda

Dude, you should be glad that your dealer is fixing ALL of those problems.
My dealer is an *** and will not try to fix anything without me speaking to the head manager.

trust me I've done my fair share of talking to the head manager. He just blows me off now and treats me like crap. luckily, the guy under him is super nice and knows that the head manager is an a$$. I am super stoked they are going to work on it though I'm just hoping that they can take care of everyting.

man that sucks!! it's good that they finally found out what's up with the smell and cluth squeekiness. my clutch squeaks too btw, gotta go get it fixed eventually. nice to hear the dealer's actually admitting the defects/problems and doing something about it. hope they get it fixed finally.. geez, these hondas!
If you have real concerns or issues with a dealership, the best way to accomplish somehting is to steer around the dealership completley.
Write (calling honda is less effective) Honda of America a letter and fax it over, express your concerns and ask for thier assistance in solving the dilema. Do not insult, mame, swear, etc.. and do not ask for more than what you reasonably deserve. Honda is an extremely reasonable company, you just have to know how to get them to move their butts....

my car stinks too and it's brand new...
there's a ton of moisture in the trunk that causes this bad odour...
then there's the fart smell i sometimes get when i turn the heater to high...(what could be causing this one? i don't have a fart can exhaust and i know it's not from my )
also, the a/c produces some other foul smell(i don't care too much about this one right now...it goes away if let it run for awhile)...
time for me to get an air freshener, eh?
