How come DC Sports makes exhaust and headers only for EX models? I know they have the V-techs, but what makes it so that they wont replace a stock manifold on a non-Vtech DX? The reason I dont understand is because brands like Ractive makes headers that can fit a DX, LX, and EX, but how can a header be made to only fit one model? Im confused, please help.

it's VTEC. the exhaust configuration on the DX and LX are different from that of the EX. also, the first trim level to get aftermarket support on the 7th gens is the EX, so the LX and DX are a bit behind on parts that aren't compatible with those from an EX.

The Catalyst on the LX and DX is in the Exhaust Manifold and on the EX it's located under the car. That's why it's easier to make headers for the EX

the o2 sensor is located on the header for lx/dx. that's another reason why it's harder to R&D

It's more than likely because their marketing infor show that more ex's get modded than the lx and dx models. So, other company's pick up and make those parts. It's real simple...
