Car pulls to the left under acceleration...

I just had the tires rotated today and after I get out on the road, the car, under acceleration will pull to the left.

1st gear, acceleration, pulls to the left.
Clutch, pulling to the left stops, shift to 2nd
2nd gear, acceleration, pull to the left and so on...

Even at 70+ mph, drop it into fourth, and punch it and it pulls to the left. Anybody have any idea?

Thanks.

go back and have the mechanic look it over again.....do you have rims?
if so they tend to pull the ride to the left too.
but I would go back to the mechanic have him look it over. cause the last thing you wanna do is screw up your tires

It's torquesteer, but weird, mine pulls to the right, but still it did it in every other FWD car I have owned, you think this is bad try a Grand Prix GTP, you need boht hands pulling the wheel to the left every time you hit WOT

I damaged two wheels last February by hitting a pot hole. The car drove normal with the spare but after I installed two new wheels and tires it pulls to the left all the time. It also shakes as if it needs balancing. I have had the wheels balanced three times and had an alignment twice. It still shakes and it still pulls to the left, under acceleration it straightens up a little though. My guess is that I got a bad tire when I replaced the two wheels and tires.

205-40-17 is the size.

If it isn't my tires or wheels, funny that it drive fine with the spare? No shaking or pulling.

My two cents.

Well, it is supposedly a bad tire.

I went back to Honda, who did the rotation, and after bantering with them for about twenty minutes, they took me for a test drive and he was like "It's supposed to pull to the left a little under acceleration." I was like,"I know that, but it's not supposed to put you in the wall, and I know that it is different than before I got the alignment because it didn't pull this much."

They rotated the tires again, and we test drove it again. It was pulling to the left quite a bit less, but was still pulling, but constantly now. Okay, so we go back and rotate them again. We test drove it again, this time taking it up to speed (50+) and when I stepped on it, the car zipped to the RIGHT. The service manager was surprised and we decided between the two of us that I had a bad tire.

See, the tire that was bad was on the rear left to begin with. It was then placed on the front left (drive wheel) so it pulled bad to the left. Next it went to the rear left, which explains the slight pull to the left and finally it ended up on the front right, which explains the extreme pull to the right.

So, I'll get a new tire and see if that fixes it....If not, time for an alignment, if that doesn't work, time for the service department at HONDA to check out my front end.

Yeah I would say alignment but could be a tire too

Okay. Well, after replacing both FRONT tires, the problem seems to have just disappeared. Thank goodness.

Heh, my mom bought one in '97 - I heard she floored it on the interstate and ended up 2 lanes from where she started. I drive it on the rare occasion, and it pulls like a ****.

I recently put Michelins on my stock LX rims, and the handling is way better, but as the alignment has worn off (the roads here really suck, cobblestones and such) the handling has deteriorated. other folks have said that vics cant keep their alignments, and I think thats the case with mine.
