7th gen civic slow?
I being a previous owner of a 1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme (3.4 liter V6). I Find this car to be INCREDIBLY fast... and I dont understand it seems like every other page someone has to make a point that our cars are slow... personally I have no mods on my 2002 EX but its got great performance, Iv dragged agianst an automatic v6 mustang and won. The fact that I can still pull more performance out of my car with aftermarket parts is the main reason I bought this car, and sure it will take a while for the new parts to be developed but once they do Im sure this civic will match the previous years. This car has a name behind it that says "modify me" I dont think aftermarket specialists are going to forget that anytime soon. Maybe Im wrong, any insight on what I said? Well, it's good to hear that you're excited about your car. I wouldn't say our cars are "incredibly fast", but it's enough to get the job done in everyday situations. Fact is though, our cars are on the low end of the HP and torque spectrum, in comparison to other cars out there in the same class (compared to Protege, Corolla, etc).
But like I said, it's good to hear that you're happy about your car and that you're looking forward to fixing it up

If you know how to get a good launch in a drag then you should have no problem beating an Automatic V6 Mustang.
My friend(owns a 00 V6 Stang Automatic) and I(02 Civic EX Manual) have dragged 4 times. Almost everytime we end in a dead heat. Its still to close to call on whose car is faster. Once I get my headers and exhaust, I pretty sure that we will be able to declare a winner.
