new intake-worse gas mileage, how?
I've heard a lot of talk here how people are getting worst gas mileage after putting on an intake. If the free flowing intake allows more air, if anything you need to compensate for that with more fuel correct? What is compensationg for the fact you are now allowing more air in? Wouldn't the car be running lean? I'm confused

When you install the intake, you're also supposed to reset the ECU by pulling the battery for 10 minutes. When the ECU gets reset, it realizes there is more air coming in, and counters that by adding more fuel. So you burn more gas. It shouldn't really move too much, but may waver a little bit one way or the other.
