Hard Upshifts?

I have an auto, and recently, I have been noticing that when the car downshifts while I am braking, it does it quite rough, like it jumps to around 3,500 rpm, not just the usual say 2,000-2,500, should I take the car in to get looked at?

ya, my dealership has a 100,000 mile warrenty, maybe i'll run it over monday... anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
