ok..I just got an estimate to repair my bumper..meaning replacing it, then painting with the cost of labor. THe estimate the Honda Body shop gave me was for $440. So Would I be expecting the same price after I get it done and then have to pay the cash...or would they at the last minute change the price on me? Because I just took it to the dealership today...and i'm worried that they may change the price on me at the last minute..like say some foolish crap about having to do this and then that..so would they try to raise the prices on me? have u guys heard about any problems like this?

It should be a pretty flat estimate. New bumpers cost somewhere around 220, painting (a couple of hours), and the removal and install (a half hour usually). You could probably save yourself 50-60 bucks installing the new bumper yourself and buying the part from a honda dealer and just having the shop paint it. Thats what I did, total cost was 380 =)

when i got rear ended, the insurace quoted around $371cdn for a new oem rear bumper for the coupe...

labour and paint is extra...

i saw the exact same price listed in a published civic service book...

i got a used bumper off ebay for $80 shipped...
u should look for a deal like that..alot of people got body kits and no longer need a stock bumper
