Can a short shift adapter if installed correctly cause any long term problems with any part of the car? Thanks.

Rep Power: 313 ive had my short shifter for about 7 months-ish now, and ive had zero problems. I was expecting at some point that the stick would snap, but it never has. took 10 minutes to do, cost $10 cash, 10 minutes to cool, and i was on the road again. perfect.
