I just took my civic in for the first oil change. And when I got it back and started driving it, i hear this rattle when I hit about 3000rpm. Anyone have that problem with rattleing at 3000rpms?

i got mine back after my first oil change, and yeah i heard a little rattle every so often, it got annoying, sounded like it was comin from the dash, the vents etc. sounded to me like something was loose and was rattling around but i couldnt find anything.

my car now has 12000 km on it and i dont notice the rattle anymore. it seems to be gone.

I found out what the problem was. The guys at Honda didn't screw in the oil cap tight enough. I waited till the engine cooled down, then tightened it up. No more rattle.

Dammit the rattle came back. Did it just stop or did you get used to it?
