Automatic: Uphill Parking
I did a search with 'hill' 'incline' 'park' and 'angle'
When I goto my buddy's house and park in his driveway, I hear a loud CLUNK when i move my stick from P to N. I tried this with and without the handbrake. His driveway is at an incline, not very steep but still uphill. Is there a better way to backout because the CLUNK sounds pretty bad. Thanks

Here is what I would do if I drove a AT. First I would park with my nose facing up the hill. Set the handbrake. When you go to leave, turn your car on with your foot still on the brake. release the handbrake and you shouldn't hear that big clunk anymore.

Not sure what order you are putting the parking brake on, but try this:
When you park, apply the parking brake BEFORE you put the car into "park".
When leaving, just do the opposite. Put the car into drive (or reverse), then release the parking brake.
Apologies if you are already doing this...

I drive an (AT) and I get the clunck even when the e-brake is used. I always park with the e-brake even on flat/level surfaces. Strange habit I picked up after driving a stick for a while. I think it's just a result of an (AT), although my 6th gen didn't have it. To be honest, I have just come to accept that this car has some new "surprises" since it's redesign.

I had a 00 accord for about a year and half. I got the same type of noises and the tranny was just noisy in general. My wife's 97 accord acts the same way. The dealer told me that it was normal for a honda auto to act that way. They are just noisy for some reason. I wouldn't worry about it.
