Here is an odd one...my 2002 LX coupe had an annoying squeek/rattle between 24-3000 rpm...been to the dealer 5 times. They actually glued in a foam pad behind my fuse box, thinking that the box was rattling and it did help a bit. But it came back. After a two hour ride in squeek hell, I started probing and found that the air intake between battery and fusebox is the source...my brother put a wadded up paper towelunder it and it hasn't returned. Did I just get the really messed up one or have others experienced this one?

have the dealer check your vin #. there is a small presentage of civics for 2001 that had recalls on the air box intake. in the least have them repair it under warrenty.

yeah, i will, thanks. Think they would have addressed a known problem with 2001's before shipping the 2002's thou

buy an AEM CAI, put it on, problem solved!

my intakes cool..well at oly 1 throttle position my throttle body whistles..when I gear down at a stop light..it sounds like a blow off valve [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
