A/C line has a hole

A/C line has a hole

ok one of the nitrous lines wore a hole in my a/c line that holds the frion (sp?) behind the throttle body, is there anything i can patch this with and then recharge the a/c? its an aluminum line right behind the throttle body adn the hole is about half the siZe of a penny

duct tape, lots of duct tape, or maybe some kind of epoxy.

i think im gonna use that jb weld stuff and patch it, or end up buying a new line

You need to replace the line, a patch will not hold because of the pressure. Please take my word on this, if you try to patch it it will just be a waste of time and money. Even a low pressure line hose runs from 30 to 50psi, and if its a high pressure line your looking at 300 to 350psi. Plus if you do patch it you still need R-134a, some oil, and a vacuum pump to evacuate the system. Spend the money and get it done right the first time.

Now as far as using JB weld that stuff might temporarily work, as long as its a low pressure line and its a pin hole. I used the stuff on a leaking A/C fitting and it worked but it was the low presssure side and the fitting threads were tight. But it still only worked for a few months.
