Wire in engine bay.

i was looking around in the engine bay. and look what i found.



its just something with bare wires. that scare me

It really should be covered for one main reason, a mechanic working on the car could easily catch the wire with tools and cause it to fray.

Come on, think about it, if your working on your car with a screw driver you could catch the wire a fray it, I don't think your going to fray a vacuum hose. I say this becasue of experiance, I was a mechanic for 10 years. Besides it takes a lot to puncture a vacuum hose but a open wire is very easy to catch and fray a few strands of wire.

bottom line is, it doesn't add functionality, on a more expensive car you might expect insulation on ground wires (because it looks nice, prevents corrosion chafing etc), but on an economy car functionality is king.
