how lound is your engine at redline??

well i havent been to redline on my lx but i have went through the breakin progress and thought id see how it would be for passing and such. i have the automatic and when i floor it and it climbs to 6000 rpm, from 6000-6500 i think the engine is a little noisey, it seems to make a woowoowoo noise, then of course it shifts.

what is this noise?

is it normal??

thanks for any help!!

i have been trying the same thing last weekend. but could only reach 6k rpm on local. it was quite noisy, but i kinda like it. dont worry, it is the civic, which is supposed to be noisy even during low speed. wanna feel quiet, try the previous generation corolla.

other than the lound engine after 6000 rpm (which is understandable) i love my civic to death. i look for reasons to go downtown just so i can drive it, I know its sad, but hey its fun to drive!!
