so what does it mean when its flashing is that just the regular flash for an expected tune up, it flashes ten times, if its just to tell me when to take it to the dealer, how do i get it off, thanks

As far as I know only the dealer can turn it off... I've called the dealer about this, happened to me at around 22000km.

They said nothing informative about it, but told me I could wait till the next inspection/oil change before they turn it off.

Call me paranoid, but I do believe that Honda knows more problems about our cars than they admit, and they fix up these little things when we take the cars in for regular maintenance. For one, I had the clicking popping brake problem for the longest time. Last I brought it in, they said there was nothing wrong with the brakes, but I'm pretty sure they've cleaned and washed the pads etc. The tech did tell me that the design of the brakes is a bit faulty as it leaves a lot of space between the pad and the roter to accumulate dust and rocks.

I'd say bring it in to check if you have the time. Try and think of any other problems you're having and justify the trip by making them fix that too.

its jus ur maintence light, if you dont do anything about it eventually it will be on all the time till it gets reset. you can reset it, but i forget exactlyhow to do it--but the owners manual tells you how.

Your maintenance light will flash 10 times after 8000 miles if you haven't had it reset (for Honda that means at the 7500 mile maintenance). After 10,000 miles it will stay on constant. Look in your owners manual on how to reset it.

WAY TO RESET IT:

1.Shut your car off
2.Push in the trip button on the gauge cluster
3. Start you car WHILE holding the trip buttom(by the odometer) wait till the light goes out
4. Presto the light is off
