cable broke for truck and gas tank

this happened a bit ago but the lever for the trunk and the gas door. I tried to pull it up for my trunk and it would move at all. All of a sudden it moved everywhere without doing anything. I took my car apart and the d@mn cable in the thing broke. So now i have to ghettoly open my gas tank and use my key to open my trunk. I open my gas tank by going in my trunk and moving the carpet out of the way and grabbing the tank door latch and twisting it out so it will come off and the door opens right up.

One time the spring that pops the fuel door fell out. It took me a week until I figured out I could open it by having a friend push on the fuel door lever in the car while I pried the door open. The spring was still laying in there loose, so I just pushed it back where it belonged. bad spring!

not really direcly related to your prob. I'd take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.
