Power Window Problems

Hi there. My 2001 Coupe with the auto down power windows (drivers side only) dosn't always go all the way down when I press the button to the second detent. I'm taking it to the dealer but I was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems with their windows.

Craig.,

Umm haven't had that problem but my windows are slow and they are one of the worst things in my car. Just curious do you have tint on your windows?

I do have tint but I wouldn't say that they are slow. I guess that you were wondering if the tint made the window too thick in the channel or seal?

Yeah the slow windows are sometimes caused by the tint in some instances but it sounds more like a electrical or power window internal issue. Yeah use that warranty and get the dealer to fix ya up.

The Rubber seal that goes around the window could be partially blocking the window from going down and it slows the window down some. The dealer will know whats up though

I have the same problem but I haven't taken it to the dealer because its no real hassle for me. If they figure out what the problem is, please post it.

I have a sedan and my rear passenger window makes quite a bit of noise when I put it up. It's not a squeaking or anything, it is coming directly from the window motor thing.

I have that problem now too. I have to press the auto down about three or four times before the window goes all the way down. Started a couple of weeks ago. I'm taking it to the dealer right now. I'll be back in a few.

I took it to the dealer. The first guy I talked to(the paperwork guy) looked at it and I showed him how it wouldn't go down automatically. Then they took it back and about 20 minutes later the guy working on it asked me to show him the problem. When I tried it out it worked. For some reason it was working. He was like, so what's the problem? I felt stupid. Anyway, I hope it keeps working. Maybe they fixed it and then wanted me to feel stupid.
