I'm just troubleshooting a leaking thermostat housing and while I was underneath the front end I noticed this little black hose. I'm guessing it's some sort of vent and that it's supposed to be disconnected? I just want to make sure it's not supposed to be connected to anything. Thanks!

Actually that appears to be the starter, I don't think the A/C drain hose would be anywhere close to that. On a picture of a TYC brand starter I see a rubber hose that looks similar.
