Help!!! Asap!
Help!!! Asap!
Ok so recently I replaced my thermostat and radiator. I literally replaced it last weekend. Did an oil change and spark plug replacement too. But tonight I drove about 20 minutes to a gas station and when I pulled up my heater wasn’t blowing hot it was blowing cold. (Tall tale sign it’s probably low of coolant) so I let the car set with the hood up and cool off. I popped the radiator cap, made a pop sound, basically letting me know it’s at least sealing. It’s not leaking on the ground from what I’ve been seeing. I check it all the time (I’m paranoid about the radiator lol.) Well I squeezed the hoses and low and behold it wasn’t full, the reservoir was, but right in front of the radiator and reservoir is my air intake resonator, and around the rim of it you can see coolant pooled up but I don’t know if it’s coming from that or if it’s leaking it and blowing it on top of it. I’m home and letting it cool before I start digging into it further. I’m going to take my reservoir off and empty it and clean the little hose attached to it to see if maybe it’s clogged. I’ve never burped the system I don’t even know how to do that. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!

So out of the blue you just decided to replace those two items or you already have been having a over heating issue?
Not sure why you seem to be thinking a overfilling overflow tank would leak out the bottom.. it’s gonna come out at the top.
If you don’t believe us, you could unplug your overflow tube at the rad and connect a 15 foot hose from Home Depot and run the other line into your cabin into a empty gallon bucket. Prolly won’t have to drive far till that bucket gets 1/2 filled.

Re: Help!!! Asap!
Because it is being pushed out of the reservoir cap spraying around the battery and resonator area.
