2002 Civic EX transmission issues
2002 Civic EX transmission issues
Hello. I have a 2002 Civic EX with a tranny issue that's driving me nuts. It stopped pulling so I flushed it as recommended and drove the car for a few minutes and all seemed well until it did it again. I replaced the torque converter and took the transmission apart and changed the filter and cleaned and inspected everything. Gears, bearings, and clutches all appear to be in good shape. Reassembled and reinstalled and now when I put it in drive, it feels like it's in fourth gear. If I put it in 2nd, it starts in 2nd and I can manually shift into third, but that's it. No slipping at all so I'm not sure if it's an electrical issue or if I missed something inside. I've changed the shift solenoid and input shaft speed sensor and tried adjusting the range sensor. I've checked and rechecked all electrical connections and everything is connected. This is my first adventure in BMXA transmissions, so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!
