Suspension FIXED

My 2001 ex was making the same suspension noise like everyone else here. They replaced my springs twice and now they just replaced my front struts. The problem is fixed. I'd like to say that i thought I had lost all faith in my dealership, CUSH in San Diego, but after talking to the service manager they treat me like gold now. They even replaced both brake bads and resurfaced my rotors after 17,000 miles for free just becasue they were squeeking. For the people in san diego, if you are having problems with other dealerships, try this one. I know I posted a post a while back saying they suck but they have completely turned around and now i love my honda just as much as I did when it was new. no more problems. Just wanted you guys to know.

Just be happy you live in San Diego...a beautiful town!!! I wish I lived there!!! Although, I have heard some horror stories about San Diego dealerships/service departments.

If they get the part in, it takes just a few hours. In the meantime, they will tell you to keep driving on the leaking strut. That's what I did for 6 weeks, a bit annoying, but not a big deal. Car was still pretty drivable.

Do you guys know what is the exact problem with the suspension. My car has the "old matress squeak" on the rear suspension as opposed to most people´s front suspension.

I already took it to the dealer, said this was a common problem and "supposedly" solved it under warranty. In reality they just greased the whole suspension system and bushings, which worked for a couple of weeks but now its squeaking again. I´m sick of dealing with rattles and squeaks so my approach is to try to solve them myself. Can the problem be fixed just by changing the struts? How much and what struts do you recommend? I want to keep the car´s ride quality (soft) as much as possible since the pavement is so bad where I live.

Just wondering if 2k2 civics also have all the interior rattles and the suspension problems... There´s a 2k1 Accord and a 2k civic in my family and they are both so perfectly assembled, not a single rattle...

I really like my car, but there´s just no end to interior rattles, trying the dealer to fix them has been a waste of time.

Any help?

My problem was a leaking front left strut. Dealer replaced it, and it seems to be fine now.

Koni Yellow struts are apparently the best aftermarket struts for our cars right now. But they are expensive, and you'll probably need an experienced installer to do it for you. Price is around $525 US for a set of 4 (without labor expenses), but many people have said it is worth every penny.

As for your rattles, where are they coming from? I had many in my 2k1 also, but I was able to fix most of them myself... you can probably do the same. I just need to know where yours are.
