Hi Civic peeps,
With ezones help I got power to my starter and alternator. The starter turned the engine slowly and no spark (not turning fast enough?). Had starter checked, NG, new battery putting out 640 cvs, 12.65 volts. I pulled all four plugs and turned the engine with a socket on the crank. How easily should I be able to turn it? I want to make sure it is not seized due to daughter running hot with blown head gasket. Thanks!

Hmmm, ok I'll try 1/4 cup of Mystery oil in each cylinder?
Then return in the morning and try again? Thanks for the help!

Won't turn at all? ****, well that might do it, might want to try 2 days.... Might have to start looking for a replacement engine. Hopefully you can get it freed up.

So it's not locked up.

Socket and extension and ratchet, without any spark plugs in it it should easily turn two complete revolutions by hand counterclockwise with little resistance once it's moving. It will have a bit of resistance from a standstill.

If the spark plugs are installed, you would be trying to work against compression as you turn the crank.

Had starter checked, NG,
Hasn't the starter been replaced yet? Replace it!

and no spark (not turning fast enough?).
Fix starter first.
Then do a compression test
