Cruise Control Cable

hello, i am trying to re-attach my cruise control cable to the throttle body, but there doesn't seem to be enough slack to run the cable along the race and into the only whole i see. what gives??? any help would be appreciated. there must be a trick to this.

How did you get it apart?

Open the throttle by hand then attach cable.

Set a brick on the gas pedal to hold throttle open, then attach cruise cable.

Remove cable housing from its mounting bracket then attach cable.
