Spark Plug '04 Civic
Hello, I am posting another thread, can't find a thread about 04 Civic plugs. As I am new to cars, are these the right plugs for my 04 Civic DX?
NGK G-Power Platinum Spark Plugs ZFR6FGP
Also, i heard about gapping, and what about them? I am planning on changing my plugs later, as part of maintenance. Cheers

Re: Spark Plug '04 Civic
The factory had Platinum plugs installed in it, for extended replacement intervals (100,000 miles)
I believe the G power and V power series are 30k plugs.
PZFR6F-11 would be the factory installed Platinum.
To go cheap, I'd use ZFR6F-11 as the closest cheaper alternative, and expect to replace them at 30k.
The -11 in the part number is the correct gap, in millimeters (1.1 mm = .043"). The plugs come pre-gapped to that spec, and as long as they didn't get dropped on the ground they should be darn close to spec when you take them out of the box.

Gap spec is the same as above.
Also, do you think Iridium plugs will make a difference in terms of performance? As ive said, im new to cars so.. 😁 No, Iridium is just another precious metal used for very long plug life.
Spark plugs can't increase engine power in any way.

Alright! Thanks man! I just changes the plugs and really noticed increased start up time and kinda feels smooth. The old plugs isn't that "old" but defo worth the change. Any maintenance tips sir?

See your owners manual for maintenance items and schedules. If you need more info or opinions, feel free to ask.
Timing belt is critical, the engine can bend valves if it lets go and that gets real expensive in a hurry. Tensioner pulley (dealer part only!!!!) should be replaced with timing belt IMO if it will go beyond 200k before the next service interval. Some like to replace all the oil seals with that job, and the water pump because it's driven by the timing belt. Fresh antifreeze of course with the water pump replacement.
Automatic trans services: Far more often than the owners manual says. At work we suggest drain and fill the trans fluid every 30k (or even more frequent)...use Hondas DW1 ATF.
Every car needs regular inspections and upkeep on worn and broken stuff in addition to basic routine maintenance.

followed by loud cussing and the soft pitter-patter of your Nikes upon the pavement LOL
The stated service interval for the timing belt is usually every 7 years or 100,000 miles-- whichever comes first.
Did you get service records and history with the car? Can you ask the previous owner what services had been done, and when?

Not if it breaks....it might make a very brief but expensive sounding noise, then silence....
