Damp Seatbelt and Wet Window
Hello everyone,
Well my 2k2 Civic EX Coupe (5speed, Black heated leather interior) now has 4 problems with it and its only 2 months and 6 days old.
problem #1 I noticed after it was raining hard for the past few days that the Driver's Side seatbelt is damp, however, the passenger side seatbelt is perfectly dry
problem #2 Today was a nice sunny day, so i rolled down the windows....only to find when i rolled them up the inside of the drivers side window (near side view mirror) was very wet. The really got me mad, cause like everyone I take pride in keeping my window streak free......
Problem #3 After I owned the car for 1 month, this problem developed. The parking break return spring went bad on me. Basically, I have to manually push it back down all the way manually to make sure that the brake light isn't on or sticking. (ofcouse the return spring, was on backorder and had to wait a week for it to come in) I guess its a good thing that they build the Civics an 1:30mins away from me here in Ohio.
Problem #4 the rear key to lower the rear seats is very hard to turn....( I've read in here its just an adjustment) but still.....WTF This is my first NEW car, and more importantantly my first HONDA.
I went from a 4banger Ford Mustang (what a great car), to a 91 Cutlass Supreme (Loads of problems with the brakes, and electronic components to run the engine) to THIS!
Oh by the way, has anyone tried the ICE TRICK......in here....dose it work....I got a small ding on the driver's side from a shopping cart...no paint loss...am thinking of trying it.....before I donate $100 to DENT WIZARD
for them to fix it.
I'm very glad now that I got the 5yr/100,000 mile full coverage 0deductible warrenty now on this car.
If this will be a sign of the future Dan

Ever figure out what happened with your interior getting damp? I have a somewhat similar problem. Not sure if it's the AC condensor, but the drivers side floor in my 2k1 is really damp. I'm taking it to the dealer next week.

Sorry Dude, the dealer basically was stumped on why my inside of the window was wet. They said they put a steady stream of water on the window without any leaks....they then said in the report, the inside felt may sometimes touch the outside felt causing a water transfer to occur. I haven't had the same thing happen like it did that one time, however, I am getting those streak lines on my inside of my driver's side window when i roll it up....anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of them for good?
