Motor and Transmission Mounts?

I have a 2004 1.7l Civic EX with AT. It seems time to change the engine and transmission mounts. I would like to know what is recommended, OEM Honda or are there good aftermarket. Any good threads on this, and could someone refer me to a good diagram with the part numbers?

From what I see, would parts 1,2,4,and 8 be the necessary ones?

That's all of them, unless any of the bolts need replacing. Are you sure they're all bad? Usually the front one goes. The rear is a pain to get to.

This times 10. The cheapo amazon ones will have your car rattling like a truck. It's about the only part (other than fluids) that you HAVE to go OEM.

Re: Motor and Transmission Mounts?

Thanks all. I have ordered Honda OEM mounts for the front engine and passenger side transmission. Front mount rubber is gone and transmission mount is cracked. They will be in on Monday. Should make for a smoother ride.

Sure will, just don't forget to support the engine before you remove any mounts! A jack with a piece of wood across the oil pan works well.

I've done a lot of little things on my 01 LX over the last 2 years. The motor mounts made a huge difference. I replaced both front Lower Control Arms and that made a big difference too.
You can always email Majestic and ask for the best deal on the mounts. I did that on my timing belt kit. I asked for seals and the rear trsnny mount. I told them I'm a vet and served during a war.
They gave me a discount.

Re: Motor and Transmission Mounts?

I replaced the motor mounts with original from Majestic, the Beck/Arnley control arms with bushings and ball joints, Aisin timing belt kit, from RockAuto.
Everything is working well so far.
