ep3 intake manifold to get to starter

ep3 intake manifold to get to starter
So I'm replace ing the clutch in my si and I'm trying to get to the starter. I have to take off the intake manifold yes? And to do that I have to take off the thing that the idler pulley hangs on to yes? And how do I do that?

And how do I do that?
I did not remember having to remove the starter to get the trans out on one of these.....So I looked at the service info, there is no mention of removing the starter.
