EX Coupe 01 dome light problem

Hello im new to the forum so if i broke any rule in this post please tell me before deleting it or moving somewhere else thanks, ok the thing i want to know it whats going on with my Civic dome light, its not working and the bulb its ok already tested and the map lights are working too changed to led ones and wanted to do same for dome,i got the car with that problem, i checked the front fuse box(near engine) and it was ok, havent touched the ones down(by the steering wheel), also i read that some civic had this problem when you change the original radio for an aftermarket one but it says its for 96-98 Civics so i dont know if that will work on mine havent tested yet cause that, any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for your time to read this by the way.

Re: EX Coupe 01 dome light problem

Front dome light inop?
Does the rear dome light work with the doors?
Check door jamb switches?

Test for power and ground at the bulb.
If there is no power then check closer because all those lights share the same fuse
If there is no ground at the bulb, then do "multiplex system" testing.

I tested another led for the dome and it didnt turned on, so it doesnt work with anything at all, also you mean the rear dome ligh(car trunk) if its that yes it works, so how i check the door jamb switches and the multiplex system test?

Re: EX Coupe 01 dome light problem

Rear dome meaning if the car has a sunroof and a second dome light over the rear seat. Not in the trunk.

LEDs are polarity sensitive, so if you get one backwards it won't light up.

Test with the real working light bulbs first.

the one that it has its working, my Coupe doesnt have sunroof and the only lights in the interior are the map ones and the dome so just 3 lights inside.

Try the regular bulb back in place.
