Hello there. I have an 03 civic ex. Recently i replaces my donut/exhaust gasket flange becuase it was extremely worn out after 237k miles. The new oem honda donut was put in place but still there was a leake at pipe to manifold where the donut is. When i put myfinger in that are i feel air pressure coming out towards one side only of that area. I took it apart and saw that a little chip off the manifold rusted off. Could this cause my leak? I would post a picture but i dont know how thanks.

Thanks! Maybe its because im using this site on my phone. Well update on this. I got a new oem manifold new oem bolts and springs. Still leaks . I even replaced the closest insulator to the manifold. Maybe i am doing something wrong? I just installed the gasket again but with hi temp sealant. Im going to let it dry for a couple hours then test it again. Ill post pics in a whil as soon as i get to a desktop.

Update.

It was a clogged cat causing the leak through backpressure. Thanks to all that assisted.
