Car broken into; need replacements
Hello, my 04 civic ex was broken into the other day. The f'ing a'holes stole my headunit(?) along with my pioneer deck, air-conditioning vents/*****, emergency button, etc. I am not sure what the right terminology is, so I can't even begin looking for the replacement. I was hoping you guys can give me some input.
Here is basically what my it used to look like, now the whole thing is gone.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Car broken into; need replacements
I would probably start with ebay or a junkyard and try to buy all the stuff already put together. I gave you a break down below of what I think you would need. I couldn't find the hazard switch. Not sure if it comes with the console or not.

Re: Car broken into; need replacements
Thank you for the replies. I am not too familiar with junk/scrapyards and how they are managed. Are they open fields where I can just go in and take anything I want? Can you recommend any places around the Bay Area? Preferably East Bay.
Re: Car broken into; need replacements
Most of them are all the same. You pay a small fee and go into the yard with your tools and take what you want off of any car.
Or you can have them get the part for you for a higher price.

Re: Car broken into; need replacements
you pay alot less for the part if you remove it yourself,
every once in awhile the scrap yards around here have a specific day that is a "flat fee" on that day only, i believe it is around $50 bucks, you go in and can take as much as you want providing you can carry it all out in one trip,
i have seen a guy dragging an engine out before!
