05 pushing coolant through overflow

so to start, i have been doing a lot of searching/reading.

i have a stock 05 1.7 with 124k. just recently, it started to push coolant through the overflow cap. i went to Napa and got a combustion leak tester. the kit says that if the fluid turns yellow, then its the head gasket. i have done three separate test and they all yield the same result (fluid turns a greenish color with just a hint of yellow. coolant is well below the recommended 2" below cap). the car runs perfectly fine, same mpg, same power. my old geo blew the head gasket and you could tell. from the reading i have done, it could be the water pump or head gasket. i was thinking water pump, but after reading threads on here its making me lean towards head gasket. i can go about 150-200 miles before i have to add coolant. i have not let it overheat yet.

any input is appreciated

3/4 of these blown head gaskets will pass that test with flying colors.

You need a head gasket job.

Nope. None.
There's at least a dozen different ways a head gasket can fail.
All this does is seep combustion pressure into the cooling system.
Very slowly at first.

It would have to be a horribly overheated and warped head situation to have water in the oil occur on this engine.

if you bother to read the link provided, you would not need to ask that
