Is your car at stock height? There shouldn't be anything in the way to cause it to rub on anything. Is it the power steering pump you are hearing?

Completely stock height. Everything is stock. I can actually see and here the tie rod end striking the body when I have someone else turn the wheel. I don't understand what would cause this if the tie rods are solid. I replaced the opposite side (passenger) it was bad. But this was doing this before that which is why I was checking the tie rods.

Something bent, something moved, something out of place in a big way.
Compare side to side.
Something should be obvious.
Think outside the bun.

Box. I mean box. Think outside the BOX.

Re: 2003 steering issue

I will have to check this out. I look under there and nothing i obviously bent or out of place. I am going to try and disassemble it a bit this weekend. so that hopefully perhaps I can get to the bottom of this. I would think that it should be an obvious problem ie controller arm bent or something of this nature. But I just don't see it. I have owned the car for a little over a year. It didn't do this at first. I haven't struck or hit anything with it So I don't get what it could be. Perhaps if I get a bit down and dirty with it I can get a better look.
