Radiator Support and Other Issues

So i ended up losing control of my 2001 Civc EX and crashed into an SUV and my car basically went under the bumper of it on the passenger side. I got the hood and radiator out, which was toast, and think most of the damage is to the radiator support. I know its possible to drill out the spot welds in the support and put in a new one but my welding isnt the best. Totally could take a couple of days and practice but i only have a flex welder. Ive read most people use a MIG welder to do the support but was wondering if flex would work out ok. If it is something that would be better professionally done, im assuming it would be a couple thousand to put one in, it might be worth it to scrap it and buy something else.

Also there doesent seem to be any damage to the engine, except for some wires that would have to be redone but was also wondering if its worth it to attempt to fix it. Only had liabilty so sadly no coverage.

Attached some pics also.

Thanks!

I think you mean flux? Wire feed without Argon?

but my welding isnt the best.
Now would be a good time to practice!

Doesn't matter what type of welding you do IMO, no matter if it's gas, stick, or MIG -- the result should be the same at the end: Join 2 pieces of steel together.

im assuming it would be a couple thousand to put one in,
Couple thousand? Maybe for the entire job from start to finish.
Couple hundred or less for what you need done would be my guess.

You already have it stripped down, I assume you'd put it all back together after the core support is in. You know you have to clean it up and seal and paint, how much can you DIY?
I'd say to have a body guy take a look and shoot an estimate to do only what you need done. Discuss, options.

Note: I am NOT a bodyman, and I don't play one on TV.
