Unable to pinpoint suspension noises. Please help.

It has been a while since I last posted on here but I'm having some issues(noises) that I am unable to pinpoint and need some help. I will try to describe the problem in full and hopefully I can be pointed in the right direction to which bushing/part to replace.

There is a knocking that comes from my front drivers side when going over uneven surfaces on the road(bumps/dips). When I'm going very slow the noise becomes more of a grind/squeal. It is not a clicking/ticking.

When I accelerate from a stand still there is an initial knock that only occurs once. It happens once out of every 5 times I accelerate and is more likely to happen if I give it more gas.

There is a slight wobble/rocking to my car when braking/slowing. It is not every time. It seems like the car gets in a rocking rhythm and if I accelerate or brake hard, it goes away. While this rocking occurs, I can get some of the similar grinding/squealing as above.

A lot of forum threads pointed to sway bar link/sway bar bushings and it seemed like an easy fix. Then I realized I did not have a sway bar and decided to come to pros on civic forum.

With the age of the car(160,000) I can imagine I may need to replace all of my suspension components but if the above problems point to 1 or 2 things, I would happily just replace those. Any and all help is appreciated.

Inspect your control arm bushings. Also inspect your strut mounts.

Installed me strut, and the control arm is pissed. Needs new bushings.

i second that, the LCA bushing is prone to failure. then the bushing rots, the control arm slides up and down. so when you accel, or brake, the car dips and dives, the metal control arm will just rub and bounce as there is no rubber holding it in place. you will either hear a grinding metal noise if youre going slow, or tapping metal sound if the road is not smooth.
