First off, I apologize if this topic has been posted before.
I have a 2001 Honda Civic dx 5 speed manual transmission that won't shift into second or 5th. It happened yesterday, I was on the road, just stopped at a stop sign. Shifted into second just fine, but tried to shift into 2nd, and it won't go in. I am not going to try and force it. because it is a beat up car. I gave up shifting into second and just skipped into 3rd. Got home just fine, all other gears working properly. Fast forward into today, I am coming home from a shopping trip, and suddenly, 5th gives out. I try and shift into it, does not work. The transmission was recently repaired by my dad, due to my sister, who owned the car before me, was rough on it. And to top it off, the hood does not want to open.
