Replacing 2003 Civic EX coupe driver's side mirror

My Fiancee took her mirror off in a tight parking space, and I've been trying to replace it. We've picked up two different replacements that were supposed to fit a 2003 EX coupe, but judging from the packaging it seems that both were actually intended for the LX model. In any case, neither fit. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to look for, since multiple auto parts stores and websites indicate that the parts I bought should fit.

Am I just missing something here?

What differences do you see?

Try a dealer if you need it to be correct on the first try.

The LX and EX are the same besides for paint. The only way it shouldn't fit is if you got a sedan mirror for a coupe.

I got a used prepainted mirror when someone vandalized my car for $70 at a salvage yard on auto-part.com You might want to try that.
