2001 honda civic rear windows (both) have intermiten use. I now have the rear driver side door apart as the window went down but wouldnt come back up. I disconnected the glass just so i could get the window up, and wdeged in place. Yes i stuffed the door with some towels incase the wedge let go the window wouldnt break.

So not that I have the door aprat, i figured why not fix it my self. I just dont know how to figure this out. I am handy and have a very basic knowlegde of electrics, and I do have a multimeter. I do not have a 12 volt batter pack.

So if anyone can lend a hand on some step by steps to figure out the problem, help me address the solution, or at very least let me know how i can get the window back up.

You could apply voltage briefly to the isolated motor leads and see if it tries to move.

That will tell you a lot.

You may have broken wires in door harness.

A new factory rear door wire harness is damn near dirt cheap.
For the price, I'll never attempt to patch one back together again.
