2002 honda civic ex 1.7 vtec phantom misfire
ok, hello to all. i have a 2002 civic that shows misfires on all cylinders on my scanner in high rpms but the car runs smooth. i have been working on cars for 20 years and no what a misfire feels like. since this is a civic forum i figured somebody here may have heard of this and know a fix. i have checked timing, adjusted valves replaced the vtec solenoid and pressure switch and have verified it working. tested for head gasket, good fuel pressure, new denso plugs, could all four coils be it? thought that unlikely. its only in high rpms, but no change in performance. any suggestions? computer?

I hate working on things, that's a drag.

I like to fix them.
If you have been working on cars for 20 years, then you should have no problem obtaining and posting the:
Actual fault code number(s).
Freeze Frame data.
Thanks.

Re: 2002 honda civic ex 1.7 vtec phantom misfire
on my civic 2003 ex it shows misfiring on all 4 cylinders. I just replaced new OEM spark plugs for this vehicle at 178,000 mi and its been driven only about 5k mi & is still showing to be an issue. Before it had engine light code P1505 and then P0730 TRANNY DIFFERENTIAL GEAR and my check engine light has never gone away.
I also notice a brake light appears intermittently above the fuel gauge along with the SRS light? what does it signify?
