Rep Power: 0 2001 civic lx manual transmission question
Hey guys, I've noticed lately that when shifting (manaul transmission), sometimes I'll notice some resistance when trying to get it to go into gear. It's not all the time and it's not always the same gear. I thought that it may be because of the cold weather but now I'm thinking that it may be something else. Possibly low transmission fluid or bad clutch? Anyone have any insight or has anyone experienced the same problem? The car is a 2001 lx.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2001 civic lx manual transmission question
Low clutch fluid will let the pedal feel "low" and not completely disengage the clutch when the pedal is pushed.
Refill the reservoir with DOT 3 Brake Fluid if it is low or empty. Pump the pedal several times, hopefully it will come back to normal without other work. Then look for where the lost fluid went.
