ok so i thought the overheating stoped cuz i saw one of the fan wires was cut somehow and it worked great for about 45 minutes then i took it for a drive it worked great then the check eng light came on so i drove to autozone they checked it out and error p0172 came up...and then it started overheating again and the motor shakes at stoped

can it be that this motor is just junked from not being taken care of before i bought it?

P0172 is rich.
What would make the computer think the engine is too rich?

Wrong amounts of fuel injected, due to ????? anything computer related, mechanical, electrical, electronic.
Excessive fuel pressure
Low vacuum

What can cause low manifold vacuum?
Almost anything that makes it run poorly.
Cam timing off a tooth.
Valves too tight.
Low compression/rings/head and gasket problems.
I'm sure there are a bunch more possibilities too.

Did you check for new head gasket problems yet?
It's easy to trash an engine due to overheating.
The head can only be milled so much before it is junk.

can a broken engine mount be the cause for p0172. Would oil leaks be a problem?

Could it be that the ECU is reading it all wrong. That there is not really a problem here. will reset of ECU solve it?
When i give gas in my car i have to go hard on the gas pedal and it will feel like its not gaining speed but the gas pedal is jerking back (sorta being stuck) and then releasing it again to go forward.
