Need help with 2004 Civic Coup EX upstream o2 sensor replacement
Need help with 2004 Civic Coup EX upstream o2 sensor replacement
Hi guys,
So my engine light is on and I ran a check and the code P0135 indicates that the upstream sensor is bad. I got a new SMP o2 sensor and was going to replace it. But there doesn't seem to be enough space to get my hand to the sensor. This gen of civic has the upstream o2 on the lower right side of the engine exhaust manifold, as opposed to earlier versions which had it right on top. This SUCKS.
Should I remove some parts and attempt to do this from the top, or jack my car up and do it from the bottom? I'm new to auto maintenance and was hoping that some of you more experienced members can help me out.
Thanks!

Jack your car up and crawl underneath. SOOOO much easier than trying to do it from up top..
