Auto transmission grinding noise
Hey all. A few months ago I bought a 2001 civic lx with a bad transmission. Car wouldn't move forward at all and would move in reverse a little bit if you rev it a lot.
I bought a used transmission and installed it. Made a trip around the block and it was working and shifting great. Then I reversed into my driveway and parked it and next time I started it and shifted into D, nothing happened.
Went into reverse and heard a grinding noise. Put it in park and grinding continued so I turned it off. When I started it again (still in park) noise is gone ... but car still doesn't move in D and so the cycle repeats.
There are no error codes and I have no idea what could be causing this. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
