Re: O2 bank 1 sensor 2

What is the code number? (Use the Pxxxx format please.)

What brand of sensor? Use DENSO or ntk. No Botch.

The defouler trick is for cat codes. Not O2 sensor codes.

Re: O2 bank 1 sensor 2

There's a reason cheap parts are cheap.

P0141 is for rear sensor heater circuit.
IF that was the only code, it is probably a bad sensor (or incorrect for the application, wrong resistance specs and the computer isn't happy). Or a wiring problem.

The current for the heater on that sensor must stay between 171 mA and 1,800 mA during operation, so proper resistance of that heater element is critical. I have a spec of 10-40 ohms for that.

For the factory PCM......

Are you using an aftermarket computer? That might throw a monkey wrench in the diagnostics.

Stock computer on 98 ex, ill and get the code in the am and let u know for sure, did not know the defouler was only for cat issues, what is the oem for a honda o2 sensor? Ive heard several brands, wiring is clean no issues that i can find, still runs smooth at idle suprisingly

Re: O2 bank 1 sensor 2

OEM O2 sensors are DENSO and NTK.
I'd guess a Denso on that car, but the parts catalog doesn't tell what brand. Look on the original sensor, it should be stamped into it somewhere.

I got 36532-P2R-A01 for an OE number. See if that will cross reference on the DENSO website.

If you had a bunch of codes, no charging, and a blown fuse #15, I'd expect a wiring problem under the intake manifold.
