01 civic lx headlight question

hey guys, i just picked up a 2001 civic lx coupe. It came with a bunch of aftermarket parts on it and I am wanting to bring it back to stock. It currently has black halo headlights on it and I was taking the light out today and ran into an issue. On the back of the oem headlight there are 3 spots for connectors to be inserted. I know one is for the turn signal, one is for the high beams/low beams but there is a connection point in the middle of the light that I have no idea what it is for. I took the light out and pulled the 2 connectors out. The previous owner had 2 wires spliced onto what I'm assuming used to plug into the middle connection point. The 2 wires go right into the back of the light. I don't know if they go to the halo's or what they are doing. Anyone know what the middle connection point on an oem headlight is for? Any help would be appreciated as I'm new to hondas. Thanks

The middle one is for the parking light.

The circle shaped lense is where the parking light goes:

Re: 01 civic lx headlight question

awesome thanks. it looks like the previous owner cut the connector off and hardwired the halos. Any idea what a new connector would run me?

Re: 01 civic lx headlight question

ive bought the connectors before (for heads and tails bulb sockets). there is a place for them under a certain section when you look up your car on www.hondaautomotiveparts.com you have to buy the socket and wire/pins separately in sets of 5, then assemble them yourself. also the wire colors are all red, so you would need to figure that out when matching them to your car. you get about 6 inch of wire, and you need to solder and shrink wrap them to the car harness. for filament bulbs the wire order or color wont matter.

Re: 01 civic lx headlight question

Oh damn, that's right. I can never get engine connectors. I keep forgetting they sell a few of the more common crash parts.
