04 1.7L oil leak issue

having trouble locating oil leak on 04 civic, after driving when I get out
of car, I can smell oil burning from motor, dont see smoke, but I know
its leaking somewhere. None ever on ground, and by the amount lost on
dipstick, it must be a slow leak, and burning off motor before it ever hits
the ground.
losing about a quart per 2000 miles.
I have looked everywhere for the leak but cant find it.
Are there any specific places this motor would leak at? Seals?
I have checked around oil plug no leak there.
thanks

not really a question anybody here can answer for you, at the rate of one quart per 2000 miles it is most likely burning alot of that oil off internally, it is not likely for all that oil to be leaking out,

look between the transmission and the engine, this would indicate a main seal leak, and look around the bottom of the crank pulley, this would indicate a leak in the timing belt area which could be the cranks seal, cam seal, or oil pump seal,

thanks for the info
when you say check bottom of the crank pulley, for the timing belt area for the crank, cam or oil pump seals, do you mean inside the timing belt cover area or outside around timing belt cover area? Just thinking if you mean inside, man that wouldnt be good having oil all over the timing belt.

when a leak in the timing area gets bad enough, you will eventually see oil dripping out the bottom of the timing belt cover, so basically between the crank pulley and the engine,
